Biometric Time and Attendance Terminals to "Schlage"

Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies today announced that it will begin phasing out the brand "Ingersoll Rand Recognition Systems" for its HandPunch® time and attendance terminals. HandPunch terminals will now carry the well-known Schlage brand.

"For more than 20 years, we have served both the time and attendance and access control markets under the name 'Recognition Systems Inc.' or 'RSI'," explains Jon Mooney, general manager, Schlage biometric solutions. "In 2008, we will be embarking on a transition to consolidate all of our products and services under Ingersoll Rand's premier Schlage brand.

"A study conducted by a third party marketing research firm concluded that Schlage is the number two most recognized brand in the security industry," Mooney adds.

HandPunch terminals are used by McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, the City of New York and the City of Chicago for their time and attendance needs.
